How satisfied are you with this response? It must be by-design, otherwise they would of surely noticed this?? I don’t know how economical that is on your side of the pond, but its an incredible bang for the buck for the Yanqui.
There are two drivers listed. The manual states that no specific driver software is needed and that windowx should appear as a selectable device for sound output but it doesn’t. USB audio device not selectable in Windows 10

How satisfied are you with this reply? I set everything up how CA suggest you do make it the default “speaker” in Windows Sound Control Panel app and its all latest drivers and firmware.
Really, for this particular matter of detecting the device the DAC isn’t any different from a USB keyboard or mouse, which of course nobody would ever put up with re-plugging on reboot.
